Hi Amit,

Yeah, it is a chain mail that is being spread. Certainly, there is no plastic in Kurkure as Kurkure is made of edible ingredients and cooked in one of the healthier oils.

Inspite of it being a rumor, many people still believe in it.

Kurkure has made an attempt to clarify these false allegations on their official Kurkure website at http://www.kurkure.in/FAQ.aspx

Well, I think Kurkure plastic thing is just a rumor. I dont believe in it and since the food product has about 30 percent oil content and corn starch, Kurkure gives an illusion of plastic while burning.......but there is no plastic.

people said that kurkure was made with plastic and that it melts like plastic when burnt. i assumed it to be true. but actual picture of the product came when i came to know that kurkure is actually bad. my maid's son liked kurkure so much that he used to eat it almost every second day as snacks. the outcome, after just one month of consumption, he fell so badly ill that he had to be hospitalized and doctors diagnosed it as effect of eating kurkure. the child was just 7 years old and he had to stay in hospital for around 4-5 weeks under observation.
therefore, i recommend all to not go with kurkure at all.
